Thoughts On...
Parenting for Potential
with Amy McNaughton

This conversation is about parenting; not command-and-control parenting, or ‘how to manage your kids’ parenting but parenting to awaken potential. It is your invitation to stop... and consider ‘parenting’ as a code word for a way of interacting with our children that is designed to evoke and support rather than shape and define. It is an exploration of who you are as the parent, rather than one of how or what to do with or to our children!

Given that the vast majority of books, CD’s and programs about parenting focus on creating outcomes with your child, this conversation is intended to focus on you; and create outcomes with and for YOU by exploring notions like:

  • How much do you notice about YOU as you engage with your children?

  • Does my capacity for patience exceed my children's curiosity?

  • When was the last time you stopped... and asked yourself: would I want to be parented by me?

  • What are your rules about parenting and how many of them are of your own creation as opposed to just repeating what you grew up with?

Parenting for Potential is intended to awaken you to your own potential, as well as that of your children. In this exploration, you’ll hear Amy McNaughton speak to her own journey of discovery as well as its impact on her marriage and her way of engaging with her daughter. A Certified CODE Model Coach™, Amy practices what she preaches, openly sharing her own journey of discovery with you, that you might carve out one of your own.
